Update firefox in linux - centos

... download the latest version of firefox from mozilla site : http://www.mozilla.com

... extract the folder ... and put the folder at the following path: "/usr/lib/"

.... say for example the extracted folder is "firefox-3.6" ... then it should be accessible by /usr/lib/firefox-3.6"

.... edit the file .."/usr/bin/firefox" ... and replace the name of older firefox directory with the new directory name...

... thats it.... close all the opened firefox windows...

.... restart firefox...

... you are done !
